The November cut reverses the trend: petrol rose for three months in a row, from August to October 2026. The previous cut came in July — we covered it in UAE fuel prices fall.
What does a full tank cost?
An example using our own arithmetic: a 50-litre tank of Special 95 costs AED 202 in November, against AED 214 in October. A 70-litre tank costs AED 282.80 instead of AED 299.60 — about AED 17 saved per fill.
- 50 l of Super 98 — AED 208 (was AED 220);
- 50 l of E-Plus 91 — AED 198.50 (was AED 210.50);
- 70 l of Special 95 — AED 282.80 (was AED 299.60).
How does the petrol price relate to choosing a district?
Through the daily commute. If you live in a suburb and drive into the centre for work, you pay for fuel every day, and that cost grows with distance.
An example: 60 km a day at 8 litres per 100 km is about 106 litres over 22 working days. On Special 95 that is roughly AED 427 a month in November, against AED 452 in October. The difference is about AED 25, so the cut barely changes the choice of district.
Salik road tolls and time in traffic matter far more. How to weigh the full cost of living in a district is covered in A checklist before you buy in Dubai.
When will December prices be announced?
Expected on 30 November 2026 — the last day of the month, as usual. The new prices will apply from 1 December.
